A collection of gilt-plated base metal commemorative coins issued by the Royal Mint to mark the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 1977. The set is presented in a two-panel burgundy and clear plastic folder featuring a lion and unicorn motif. The left panel contains decimal denominations including a crown-sized coin featuring the Queen on horseback with the legend ELIZABETH II D G REG F D 1977, accompanied by 50, 10, 5, 2, 1, and 1/2 new pence coins. The right panel contains a selection of pre-decimal coinage including a half crown, two shillings (florin), one shilling, sixpence, threepence, penny, and halfpenny. A square gilt-plated commemorative plaque featuring the Royal Coat of Arms is included in the right panel. Pre-decimal coins bear the Latin inscription FID DEF.
