A hand painted bisque porcelain figurine depicting a Napoleonic era military officer, possibly intended to represent Napoleon Bonaparte. The figure is shown with a moustache and sideburns, standing with hands on hips. He is dressed in a light green tunic with gold coloured epaulettes, a broad orange sash, a white waistcoat, and tan trousers. He wears a tall bicorne hat with a prominent white plume. The figure is mounted on an integral square porcelain pedestal which features a raised circular gold toned medallion on the front face embossed with the letter N. The entire piece is set upon a tiered circular wooden plinth. The decoration is applied by hand in a matte finish. The style and subject matter are consistent with 20th century Italian porcelain productions from the Capodimonte region. No factory backstamps are visible on the exterior surfaces of the porcelain.
