An antique oval field cooking pot, constructed with a copper or brass body and matching lid. The piece features a heavy wrought iron folding handle and a corresponding iron grip on the lid, both attached with large iron rivets. A band of original tin plating is visible around the upper exterior rim. The design is consistent with British military field-issue cookware from the late Victorian or early Edwardian periods, typically used as a cavalry mess tin or dixie. The body shows evidence of hammered or spun construction. No specific maker marks or military broad arrows were identified during inspection, though a small white adhesive label is present on the lid.
