This lot consists of two vintage sporting items. The first is a golf tournament marshal’s sign of the type used at The Open Championship. It is a paddle-shaped board featuring a graphic of the Claret Jug trophy at the top on a red background. The field below is yellow with the words QUIET Please printed in blue lettering.
The second item is a vintage full-sized willow cricket bat. The reverse of the blade is marked with several impressed stamps including WARRANTED WILLOW, TREBLE SPRING, WELL BALANCED, COMPRESSED, and UNIVERSAL DRIVER. The face of the bat bears the word SELECTED in block capitals and some partially legible cursive script. The upper portion of the blade is covered with black protective tape. The handle retains a heavily worn original grip.
