A pair of contemporary decorative relief-moulded sculptures presented in a floating style. Each high-relief sculpture is mounted between two panes of clear glass secured within a thin, brass-toned metal frame. The sculptural elements are cast from a composite material with a matte, off-white, stone-like texture. One piece depicts an infant wearing a cap, nestled within a large, detailed ear of corn. The second piece features a classical scene with two winged cherubs or putti set against a rugged, rocky background. Both sculptures are supported by matching moulded bases designed to appear as rough-hewn stone or masonry blocks. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible.
