A framed official appointment warrant from The Boy Scouts Association, dated 13th October 1933. The document records the appointment of John Rootes of 93 Victoria Road, Margate, as Assistant Cubmaster of the 3rd Margate (Holy Trinity) Group, Registered Number 4082, within the Margate Local Association, County of Kent. The warrant features the association fleur-de-lis emblem and an illustration of a scout in period uniform. It bears a printed facsimile signature of the movement founder, Baden-Powell, in his role as Chief Scout. The document was printed by Stranger Brothers Limited, Tower Hill, London. It is presented in a gilt-finished wooden frame under glass.
