A late Victorian overmantel mirror constructed from dark-stained wood, featuring a multi-plate arrangement. The architectural frame consists of a central rectangular mirror flanked by two smaller side mirrors, with an additional arched mirror plate set into the upper section. Decorative carvings include incised sunburst or fan motifs in the upper corners and lower side panels, while two square panels above the side mirrors feature geometric floral rosettes. The central section is fitted with two small cantilevered display shelves, each supported by decorative turned wooden spindles. The entire piece is surmounted by a deep, tiered moulded pediment supported by twin brackets. The design reflects the Aesthetic Movement influence on late 19th-century domestic furniture.
