This large modular mid-century modern wall unit is attributed to the Staples Ladderax system, originally designed by Robert Heal for Staples of Cricklewood. The system is constructed from teak-veneered wooden components and black-painted steel ladder-style uprights. The collection includes six uprights and a variety of storage modules. Visible components include three chests of drawers, each containing three drawers with circular black pull handles. The set also features two drop-front cabinets, two display cabinets with sliding glass doors, and one open-fronted box-shelf. Multiple teak shelves of varying depths are included, along with the required metal cross-member support rods used for configuration. The decorative items shown in the photographs, including taxidermy, clocks, and glassware, are not included in this lot.
