A mid-to-late 20th-century kneehole writing desk The piece is constructed from a stained hardwood with a mahogany-type finish. It features a five-drawer configuration, comprising a wide central drawer positioned over a kneehole, flanked by two drawers on each side. The drawer fronts are embellished with relief-carved foliate and scrollwork motifs that incorporate integrated, recessed finger-pull handles. The desk is supported by four cabriole legs that terminate in carved scroll feet. The rectangular top is fitted with a removable, protective plate-glass sheet over a polished wooden surface.
