A mid-century modern teak record cabinet and media unit, dating from the circa 1960s or 1970s. The piece is constructed with teak-veneered panels and features a rectangular top with a subtle gallery edge to the rear and sides. The interior is divided into three distinct sections: the left-hand side offers a large open storage space; the centre is fitted with vertical metal wire dividers for vinyl record storage; and the right-hand side contains a single shallow drawer above an open cubby. The unit is supported by a recessed plinth base, fitted with concealed castors. While the design shares characteristics with manufacturers such as G Plan and McIntosh, no maker’s marks are visible.
