Description
A mid-century modern storage stool, dating to the 1960s or 1970s. The piece features a rectangular wooden box constructed with wood veneer, showing a prominent grain. The box is supported by an integrated black-painted square-section metal frame which forms the four legs. The top consists of a fixed, padded seat upholstered in black vinyl. This upholstered lid is attached with a continuous metal hinge, opening to reveal a single internal storage compartment. The construction demonstrates a metal-to-wood assembly characteristic of industrial-influenced furniture from the period. No maker’s marks or labels are present on the item. The interior contains an assortment of sewing notions.
