Description
A Carlton Ware earthenware coffee service featuring a modernist design, shape number 2747. The set comprises two tall, cylindrical lidded coffee pots with elongated spouts and circular finials, one creamer, one open sugar bowl, six coffee cups, and six saucers. The design is characterised by clean lines and a weighted, stepped base to the hollowware. The service is finished in a dual-colour glaze with a high-gloss charcoal grey exterior and a contrasting white interior. The underside of the pieces bears a printed black script mark for Carlton Ware, Made in England, Trade Mark, alongside an impressed shape number 2747.
