Description
A vintage industrial theatre spotlight or studio lantern, identified by a label on the domed top section reading ALTO TOP. This unit is attributed to the British manufacturer Strand Electric and is designed in the style of a PAR can. The cylindrical housing is constructed from brushed aluminium and is mounted on a steel U-shaped yoke with a black plastic adjustment knob. The front aperture features four steel brackets for holding gel frames or colour filters. Internally, the lantern contains a glass lens protected by a wire mesh screen and an internal bulb. The unit is fitted with an electrical cable and a black top-mounted connector.
