Lot 324:
Description
marigold carnival glass items featuring a pressed glass construction with an iridescent metallic-like finish in an orangey-amber hue. The collection includes three pieces in the Star and File pattern, attributed to the Imperial Glass Company, which is characterised by multi-pointed rosettes or stars alternating with diamond-point and cross-hatched panels. This pattern is present on two footed compotes with heavily ruffled, crimped rims and one deep circular vessel base. The fourth item is a twin-handled oval dish with a scalloped, ribbed border and integral clear glass handles. All pieces are manufactured using the pressed glass technique and display characteristic moulded seam lines. No maker marks or signatures are visible on any of the items.
