Lot 302:
Description
A three-piece glassware set consisting of a conical decanter with a matching tapered stopper and two coordinating stemmed glasses. The set is crafted from transparent glass with a smoky amber tint. The exterior of each piece is decorated with a modernist pattern of fine, parallel horizontal bands in a dark pigment or gilt finish. The decanter has a distinctive sleek, tapered form with a matching stopper that continues the banded motif. The glasses feature conical bowls, slender stems, and flat circular bases. No maker’s marks, signatures, or acid-etched stamps are visible on any of the items. The design is characteristic of the Mid-century Modern aesthetic prevalent during the 1950s and 1960s.
