The collection dates from the mid to late 20th century, circa 1960s to 1980s, and originated in the United Kingdom. The cards encompass a wide variety of educational and natural history themes. Specific series identified include Prehistoric Animals, featuring illustrations by Maurice Wilson and text by Dr. Alan Charig, History of Aviation, and Incredible Creatures. Notable individual cards include No. 40 from the Prehistoric Animals set and No. 38 Bee Hummingbird.
