Description
This lot consists of two vintage metal watering cans of differing designs, characteristic of 20th-century British horticultural equipment. The first is a long-reach greenhouse-style watering can, fabricated from sheet metal with a reddish-brown painted finish. It features an elongated spout and a cross-mounted handle. A circular embossed medallion is situated on the top of the main body; however, the characters within the mark are not legible. The form is consistent with mid-20th century British designs. The second item is a small utility watering can constructed from galvanised sheet steel with rolled seams and a fixed overhead handle. This can is fitted with a removable rose head.
