Description
Three mid-20th century wall-hanging crucifixes of varying construction and design. One example features a cross decorated with parquetry veneer in a radiating sunburst pattern using two contrasting tones of wood, fitted with a cast metal corpus with a dark bronze-toned patina and a scroll-shaped INRI plaque. Another example is crafted from dark-stained hardwood with brass-capped terminals, featuring a cast metal corpus with a bright brass-toned finish and a scroll-shaped INRI plaque. The final example is composed of medium-toned wood decorated with inlaid light-wood stringing forming a rectangular border design at the ends of each arm, fitted with a silver-toned cast metal corpus.
