Description
A hand-painted bisque porcelain figurine depicting a Napoleonic-era military officer, produced by Capodimonte and signed by the artist Gino Cappe. The figure is portrayed in full ceremonial dress, featuring a plumed bicorne hat, gold-toned epaulettes, a chest sash, and honorary medals. The officer is posed in a commanding stance with hands resting on the hips. The figurine is mounted upon an integral rectangular porcelain plinth, which is further attached to a circular, tiered wooden base. The front of the porcelain plinth displays a gilded mark consisting of a capital letter N surmounted by a five-point crown. The side of the porcelain base bears a blue script signature for G. Cappe.
