Lot 232:
Description
A hand-blown art glass dish formed as a stylised swan. The body is constructed from translucent amber-orange glass, often referred to as persimmon, shaped as a shallow leaf with a serrated or scalloped rim. A curved, clear glass neck is applied to the body, terminating in an amber-coloured crest and beak. The base shows signs of hand-finishing and surface wear. This piece is characteristic of mid-20th-century decorative glass and shares stylistic similarities with works produced by manufacturers such as Altaglass, Sooner Glass, and various Murano workshops. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are present on the item.
