Description
A late 19th to early 20th-century overmantel mirror in the Victorian style. The frame is constructed of gilt gesso over wood, featuring a serpentine arched top with rounded mouldings. The base of the frame is accented by two decorative scrolling acanthus leaf terminals at the bottom corners. The finish consists of a matte gilding with an aged patina. The mirror plate is shaped to fit the specific contours of the frame. No maker marks, labels, or inscriptions are present on the frame or the reverse.
