Description
A large-scale professional medical instructional wall chart produced by Adam, Rouilly and Co Ltd. The chart is a colour lithograph backed with linen and mounted to a wooden roller at the bottom edge. Titled Organs of the Chest and Abdomen. II., the piece features two primary anatomical illustrations. Figure A depicts the 3rd Successive View (Deepest Section), Anterior Aspect, showing deep organs, major blood vessels including the aorta and vena cava, and the kidneys from a frontal perspective. Figure B depicts the Thoracic Skeleton with Relation to the Chest and Abdominal Organs, Posterior View, showing the ribcage, vertebral column, and scapulae with internal organs visible from the rear. Both illustrations include detailed, numbered keys for identification. A printed label in the bottom right corner identifies the manufacturer as Adam, Rouilly and Co. Ltd., 18, Fitzroy Street, Fitzroy Square, London, W.1., with the telephone exchange MUSEUM 2703 and telegram address Osteology Wesdo London.
