Description
This framed wall relief is executed in the Art Deco style, featuring a composition material plaque with an ivory-coloured finish. The relief depicts a stylized nude female figure in profile, holding the leashes of two leaping hounds, likely greyhounds or whippets. The figures are positioned above a stylized grass base terminating in a Greek key motif. The plaque is mounted on a burgundy velvet-textured backing and housed within a modern black stepped frame. No maker’s marks or signatures are present on the relief itself. The subject matter is a common interwar motif often associated with Diana the Huntress.
