Lot 20:
Description
A mid-20th century oak occasional table constructed in the Jacobean Revival style. The solid oak top features a trefoil or clover leaf design with a moulded edge and notched corners. The base consists of three turned and fluted legs terminating in block feet, joined by a triangular stretcher. The stretcher is decorated with a central carved triangular boss depicting a floral motif. The wood is finished with a dark stain, showing a prominent grain throughout. This design is characteristic of 20th-century British revivalist furniture, often produced by makers such as Wood Bros or Titchmarsh and Goodwin.
