Description

A mid-century modern utilitarian chest of four full-width drawers, dating from approximately the 1950s to the 1970s. The piece is constructed with light-coloured hardwood drawer fronts and carcass sides, likely beech, while the top and back panels are finished in plywood. Each drawer is fitted with a pair of white, circular, mushroom-shaped pull knobs, which appear to be original and made of plastic or painted wood. The construction is typical of institutional or domestic workshop furniture of the period. A white rectangular inventory sticker bearing the printed characters 0016 is present on the top right drawer front. No other maker’s marks, stamps, or labels are visible. Internal drawer joinery, such as dovetailing, is not visible in the provided images.
