Description
A single metal daybed frame in the French style, constructed from wrought and cast iron with a cream-painted finish. The frame consists of two arched end panels featuring vertical spindles and scrolled support stays. The front rail is decorated with scrolling ironwork and a central, ornate cast iron openwork cartouche with foliate and acanthus leaf motifs. The piece is raised on four legs, each terminating in a small caster. Accompanied by a modern single-sized quilted mattress. No maker’s marks or manufacturer stamps are visible.
