Description
A rectangular coffee table of Chinese export style, likely manufactured in the mid-to-late 20th century. The piece is constructed with a black lacquered finish and features a central decorative panel depicting a traditional landscape scene. This scene includes figures, pavilions, and bridges rendered in slightly raised polychrome materials. The central composition is framed by an inlaid mother-of-pearl Greek key border. The apron and cabriole-style legs are further embellished with mother-of-pearl inlays depicting scrolling grapevines and floral motifs. A square red seal mark is present in the corner of the central panel, though the characters are not clearly legible and appear to be decorative or apocryphal in nature. The table is fitted with a protective glass top.
