Description
A Victorian mahogany chest of drawers featuring a two over three configuration, consisting of two short drawers above three long graduated drawers. The carcass is constructed from mahogany and mahogany veneers, topped with a rectangular surface featuring rounded front corners. The drawer fronts are fitted with turned mahogany knobs and inset brass-lined escutcheons. The piece is supported by a plinth base which rests on small turned bun feet. Internal drawer construction and secondary woods are not visible but are characteristic of the mid-to-late 19th century.
