An Art Deco style bar ashtray, attributed to Ianthe, dating to the mid-20th century, circa 1940. The stand comprises a circular chrome-plated ashtray top with a fixed arched handle that doubles as a cigarette rest. The top is mounted on a fluted, pale-green painted metal column. The column is supported by a decorative, stepped and gadrooned chrome-plated base, which is inset into a wider, weighted circular plinth, likely made of cast iron to provide stability. A white adhesive sticker with the printed black numbers 0212 is present on the base. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the exterior surfaces.
