A commemorative ceramic liquor decanter manufactured by Heritage China for Ezra Brooks. The vessel is of cylindrical form with a side-mounted stopper and is finished in a deep maroon glaze. The body features transfer-printed decorative motifs including The Spirit of ’76 revolutionary figures with a fife and drums, a bald eagle, and the emblem of the Shriners (Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine) consisting of a scimitar, crescent, and star with the initials A.A.O.N.M.S. The base rim is finished in blue with gold-toned lettering reading U.S.A. BICENTENNIAL flanked by stars and the dates 1776 – 1976. The base features embossed marks reading HERITAGE CHINA, © 1976 S.N.-63, EZRA BROOKS, and LIQUOR BOTTLE 185. Two original gold foil labels are attached to the body, identifying the maker as Heritage China and the contents as Ezra Brooks 101 Proof 12 Years Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
