Lot 108 A Trio of Ceramic Tableware Items including a Pheasant Platter, a Floral Covered Dish, and an Art Deco Style Plate

This lot comprises three pieces of earthenware ceramic tableware, likely of British origin and dating from the early-to-mid 20th century. The first item is a large oval serving platter, transfer-printed with a multi-coloured scene depicting a pair of pheasants perched on a weathered branch in a woodland setting, finished with a high-gloss glaze. The second piece is a two-piece rectangular covered dish, comprising a domed lid with an integral handle and a matching base plate. The exterior is hand-painted with a central red rose, blue forget-me-not style blossoms, and green foliage, with sponged green borders to the rims. The third item is a shaped ceramic plate with a central aperture designed for use as a tiered cake stand, accompanied by a black textured metal handle. It is hand-painted with an Art Deco style figure of a lady in a voluminous green dress and a chequered straw hat, flanked by yellow and orange floral sprays. This figural design is in the style of Shorter and Son, notably their Biddy pattern. No maker marks are visible on the upper surfaces of the items.
