A mid-20th century storage chest or blanket box of rectangular form. The exterior is finished with a dark-toned wood stain. The hinged lid is inset with a cream-coloured laminate or vinyl panel featuring a repeating pattern of small blue stars. The interior reveals a light-toned plywood construction with internal timber framing for structural support. The chest is fitted with a single curved metal pull handle to the front and is attached to the base with two simple metal butt hinges. An auction lot label numbered 0025 is adhered to the front face. No maker marks or branding are present.
