This static display model represents the Thompson A2 Class 4-6-2 locomotive Blue Peter in its British Railways livery, as operated circa 1948. The model is attributed to the Great British Locomotives partwork collection released by Amercom and Atlas Editions. The locomotive is finished in British Railways apple green with 60532 numbered to the cab side in yellow and British Railways inscribed on the tender. It features a nameplate above the smoke box with Blue Peter in gold-toned lettering on a black ground. The piece is constructed from a combination of die-cast metal and plastic parts and is presented at 1:76 scale (OO gauge). It is mounted on a black plastic display base featuring an integral section of ballasted railway track. A printed label on the front of the plinth identifies the subject as 1948: BR(NE) A2 4-6-2 No. 60532 Blue Peter accompanied by the British Railways lion and wheel crest. The item is housed in its original clear plastic blister packaging.
