This Victorian-era commemorative chromolithograph is published by B. & F. Gast, with the printed mark ‘B & F’ over ‘GAST.’ visible in the upper right-hand corner of the border. The central composition is divided into three distinct rectangular panels depicting significant actions from the Crimean War: the left panel shows a cavalry engagement; the centre panel features a naval battle with sailing ships-of-the-line under fire; and the right panel portrays British infantry in red tunics on the battlefield. These central scenes are framed by an elaborate decorative border featuring foliate and floral motifs in blue, red, and gold. Integrated into this border are fifteen inset oval portrait medallions of prominent Allied military commanders and political figures involved in the conflict. The print is housed in a dark-stained wood frame with a gilded inner slip.
