Lot 416 A Set of Six Gilt Metal and Enamel 1977 Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Commemorative Flag Lapel Pins in Presentation Case

A set of six commemorative lapel pins, produced to mark the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 1977. Each pin is constructed from gilt metal with enamel decoration, designed in the form of a waving flag attached to a flagpole. The collection features various heraldic designs associated with the British monarchy and the constituent nations of the United Kingdom. These include the Red Dragon of Wales on a white and green field, the Harp of Ireland on a blue field, the Lion Rampant of Scotland on a gold field, the Three Lions Passant Guardant of England on a red field, a further Lion Rampant on a red field, and the Unicorn of Scotland on a red field.

The pins are presented in their original black rectangular case. The exterior of the lid features gold-blocked decoration comprising a central crown above the numerals 1977, flanked by laurel wreaths. Beneath this is a scroll containing the inscription THE QUEEN’S SILVER JUBILEE. The interior of the case is fitted with a black velvet-style lining with recessed sections for each pin.
