A collection of assorted embroidered cloth patches and proficiency badges associated with the British Scout Association. The group includes Sea Scout unit insignia, notably a circular badge featuring a red ship’s wheel and anchor on a black field with a yellow border. Other items include a variety of merit or proficiency badges distinguished by different coloured borders, such as green, blue, red, orange, and purple. One rectangular patch displays the Scouting fleur-de-lis symbol in black on a white background with a green border. The collection is housed in a rectangular, gold-toned metal tin. The interior of the lid is embossed with the text NEW ENGLISH TEAS. The patches are constructed from embroidered thread on various fabric backings including twill and felt.
