This lot comprises a pair of vintage Porro prism binoculars of centre-focus design, characteristic of mid-20th-century optical instruments. The binoculars feature a metal body finished with a black textured leatherette covering. The bridge and objective lens housings are constructed from a silver-toned metal alloy with a black painted finish. The instrument is fitted with a black neck strap. The binoculars are accompanied by a fitted carrying case with a black textured exterior, a metal clasp, and a shoulder strap. The interior of the case is lined with red fabric. While the design resembles models produced by Japanese manufacturers such as Tasco or Empire during the 1960s and 1970s, no maker’s marks, brand names, or technical specifications are visible on the body. A white auction lot sticker numbered 0336 is present on the exterior of the case.
