An Arts and Crafts style spirit kettle on stand, constructed from yellow metal with a hand-hammered martelé finish. The globular kettle features a curved gooseneck spout and a fixed overhead wrought metal handle with a turned, ebonised wooden grip. The body is decorated with a beaded band around the circumference. The kettle sits upon a matching circular tray-style stand with a corresponding beaded rim, supported by three small feet. The stand includes a central cup-shaped reservoir intended to hold a spirit burner. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible on the exterior surfaces of the piece.
