A large-format framed and glazed commemorative print titled THE GALLOP PAST. The image depicts a ceremonial review of The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery by Her Majesty The Queen, acting as Captain-General, in Windsor Great Park on 1st June 1987. The central scene shows multiple six-horse teams in full ceremonial hussar-style dress, including busbies and braided jackets, pulling 13-pounder field guns at a gallop. Windsor Castle is visible on the horizon to the right, adjacent to a royal dais and spectators. The print bears a signature in the lower-left corner, appearing to be that of the equestrian artist John Loveday. Centred beneath the image is the printed title and a detailed inscription commemorating the 40th anniversary review. The work is set within a cream-coloured mount and housed in a dark wood frame featuring a gilt-effect inner slip.
