A danish mid-century modern extendable dining table, dating from the 1960s or 1970s. The table features an oval top with rounded ends, constructed with a teak veneered surface and solid wood edging. The top is split in the centre and is fitted with metal slide catches on the underside of the apron, indicating it is designed to pull apart to accommodate an extension leaf. The piece is supported by a solid wood frame with four square-section legs that taper slightly towards the feet. The design is in the style of mid-20th-century manufacturers such as G-Plan or McIntosh, although no maker marks, labels, or stamps are visible.
