A mid-to-late 20th-century twin-pedestal desk in the Georgian style, constructed from mahogany and mahogany veneers. The rectangular top features a slightly projecting break-front profile and is inset with a green leather writing surface, finished with a gold-tooled decorative border. The desk configuration consists of a three-drawer frieze situated over two supporting pedestals. The left-hand pedestal contains three graduated drawers, whereas the right-hand pedestal features a single cupboard door, providing storage for larger items or office equipment. The drawer fronts are embellished with brass-toned swan-neck drop handles on decorative batwing backplates, while the cupboard door is fitted with a simple turned knob. The desk is supported on shaped bracket feet.
