A mid-century modern chest of four drawers of British manufacture. The exterior is finished in a mid-toned wood veneer, likely teak, and the unit stands on four square tapered legs. The top drawer is fitted with two small, circular brass-tone pull knobs. The three lower drawers are designed with an integrated, handle-less recessed pull along their bottom edges. The rear of the chest features a British Standards Institution Kite Mark sticker reading B S 1960 LICENCE NO 2119. A stylised capital M is also stamped in black ink on the reverse, a mark associated with the manufacturer H. Morris and Co. Ltd. (Morris of Glasgow).
