A mid-century modern compact three-door wardrobe manufactured by the British firm G-Plan (E. Gomme Ltd) as part of the Tola and Black range, circa 1950s. The unit features tola wood veneers with a rich, dark-toned high-gloss finish. The three-door configuration includes a central door inset with a full-length rectangular mirror. The doors are fitted with arched brass-tone metal pull handles and are mounted on brass hinges. The wardrobe stands on four tapered legs finished in black lacquer, terminating in brass-coloured ferrules. The interior of the left-hand door bears an embossed gold-tone maker’s mark featuring the EG monogram and G-Plan High Wycombe branding. Adjacent to this is a rectangular foil retailer’s label for Times Furnishing.
