A mid-century West German art pottery vase manufactured by Scheurich Keramik. This mould-made earthenware vessel is of ovoid form with a waisted neck and a flared rim. The exterior features a textured, mottled volcanic glaze in variegated tones of brown, beige, and cream, creating a speckled appearance. The interior and rim are finished in a solid dark brown glaze. The base is impressed with the model number 799-22 and the mark W. GERMANY. A hand-applied white mark resembling the letter L is located in the centre of the base.
