A collection of two pieces of vintage decorative glassware. The first item is a heavy-walled, deep ruby red art glass dish or ashtray, featuring a freeform tri-lobed design with a scalloped rim. This piece is characteristic of mid-century modern art glass and is in the style of manufacturers such as Murano or Whitefriars. The second item is a pale amethyst or light cranberry-coloured glass posy vase, designed with a bulbous body and a wide, heavily crimped and ruffled rim. This form is typical of traditional British glassmaking from the Stourbridge region. Both items are fashioned from glass; however, no maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are present.
