This trio of small-scale decorative figurines is executed in the classical style, resembling the work of Italian maker A. Santini. Each piece is crafted from bonded marble or cast resin with an off-white matte finish, intended to simulate carved marble. The group includes three iconic classical subjects: a representation of the Spinario, or Boy with Thorn, depicted seated and removing a splinter from his foot; a standing female nude in the Venus Pudica pose with draped fabric held against the leg; and a seated male athlete holding a discus, representing a variation of the Discobolus. The figurines are mounted on integral circular or rectangular bases. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible.
