Lot 356 Two ceramic items including a coffee pot in the style of J & G Meakin Poppy pattern

This lot comprises two ceramic items. The first is a tall, cylindrical coffee pot of mid-century design, constructed from cream-coloured glazed earthenware. The body is decorated with a transfer-printed floral spray featuring stylized sunflowers and foliage in a muted palette of olive green, ochre, and charcoal tones, which is characteristic of the Poppy pattern by J & G Meakin. The pot has a simple handle and a short spout, fitted with a flat-topped lid in a contrasting dark brown glaze. The second item is a small decorative earthenware basket with a flared, undulating rim and an overhead handle. The white-glazed vessel is decorated with a motif of three blue flowers with yellow centres. The handle is finished with a textured brown wash to simulate wood or wicker. No maker’s marks or factory stamps are visible on either piece.
