A comprehensive amateur photographic archive comprising a large quantity of 35mm colour transparencies housed within three partitioned wooden storage cases. The collection predominantly dates from 1963 to 1966, as evidenced by detailed handwritten indices pasted to the interior of each lid. The slides are mounted in various plastic frames, including blue mounts marked Agfacolor Service and cream mounts embossed with the Titania brand name. One index sheet bears the Boots retailer logo. The archive provides a social history record, documenting a diverse range of subject matter including family weddings, botanical studies such as Tulips – back lit and Rose Garden 1966, and topographical interests including Michelham Priory, Wigmore Church, and Burntwick. Notable specific entries include a Victory Shed Fire and various family gatherings and travel scenes. Many slides are individually numbered with small red and white adhesive labels that correspond to the numbered slots and lid indices.
