This lot consists of two mid-20th-century English porcelain figurines produced in the Staffordshire potteries. The first figurine is a Royal Doulton bone china piece titled The Rag Doll, model number HN 2142. It depicts a young girl wearing a wide-brimmed hat, a blue bodice, and a full white skirt, carrying a pinkish rag doll. The base bears a green printed backstamp featuring a lion atop a crown over a circular mark with the words ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND BONE CHINA. Below this are the printed titles The Rag Doll., H.N. 2142., COPR 1953., and DOULTON & CO. LIMITED. A small handwritten decorator’s mark in green ink reads PR. The second figurine is a Tuscan China porcelain piece titled Irish Colleen, model number M1077. It portrays a woman in traditional attire, including a green skirt decorated with gold-coloured polka dots, a black and gold patterned shawl, and a yellow headscarf. The underside features a green printed mark with a foliate border containing the words PLANT TUSCAN CHINA MADE IN ENGLAND. It also has handwritten inscriptions in orange-red ink reading Irish Colleen, M1077, and Potted by PLANT.
