A mid-20th-century tabletop valve radio manufactured by Pye Ltd. The unit features a dark brown Bakelite cabinet with a horizontal louvred speaker grille to the left and a vertical tuning dial to the right. The glass tuning dial displays three frequency bands: Short Wave, Medium Wave, and Long Wave, listing various international and domestic stations including London, Home, and Light. The model number 62 is featured in decorative cartouches at the upper corners of the dial. Below the dial and grille are four fluted brown control knobs. The bottom left of the grille area displays the moulded Pye trademark logo consisting of a stylised letter P within a square border. Affixed to the rear fibreboard panel is a small metal inventory plaque inscribed NOT TO BE SOLD / THE PROPERTY OF / RADIO RENTALS LTD.
